Operational Analysis of Product Category - Dashboard
Overview
An operational analysis of product category shows us how things are going inside of specific category. In there we can see in detail which supplier and product bring us the most profit, which ones sell the most in terms of volume, how our sales and profit is distributed among them, how much we made in the year, what was the turnover for every product in the category, and what was the flow of profit for every product.
For this BI solution we propose using Datapunkt BI Analytics. Conduction this analysis helps us understand how every product performs, and which ones we should keep working with.
Goals
Make comprehensive in depth dashboard for understanding which supplier we should continue working with and how much we made in profit.
Objectives
These objectives will help us reach our goal:
- Prepare the dataset based on the data received from cashiers with every transaction made, combined with internal data on our suppliers and contracts signed
- Analyze annual profit ratio by supplier and product
- Analyze the profit flow of every product in every store
- Analyze the correlation between net revenue, profit, and amount of goods sold by product
- Investigate how much profit we made every month by store
- Analyze the item turnover for every product
